Windows 98 Dial Up Setup - Page 1 1) These instructions will take guide you through setting someone up for the internet. These instructions include setting up a dialup account, an email account and a news account. Close all the windows on the desktop and make sure no programs running in the task bar. Click the start button, go to settings and click on the Control Panel. Once the Control Panel opens, double click on the Internet icon.
2) A window like this should appear. Click on the Connection tab at the top of the window. Click on the Connect button.
3) Select the second option, then click Next.
4) Select the first option, then click Next.
5) Connect using my phone line, then click next.
6) Create a new dial-up connection, then click Next.
7) The Information below is for Brandon costumers. Winnipeg's dial-up number is 480-4071.
8) Type in their username and password.
